“I'm a Recruitment Consultant...Get me out of here!

As we approach the end of the year we at Ruella James would like to wish everyone, both client and candidate alike who have supported our business over the past nine years, a very Happy Christmas and a successful New Year.

As we all know it’s been quite a year and many industry commentators say that this period of uncertainty will continue for at least another 12 months, so now’s the time to start preparing for what could be a challenging year ahead. As is often quoted the more preparation you do, the better prepared you are for it. As I always say “if you fail to prepare – prepare to fail!”

Ask yourself a few key questions about how you’ve handled this year, and how you can improve on it or change it for next year.

For example:
What happened this year that I want to record?
Where did I meet the targets I set for myself and where did I fall short?
What helped me to succeed?
What caused me to fail?
What did I learn?

And on the coming year....
What do I want to start doing?
What do I want to stop doing?
What do I want to achieve?
What decisions do I need to make?
What am I resisting doing?
What goals am I setting for myself?
What is my plan to achieve those goals?
What structures can I set in place to increase the probabilities that I will succeed?

Businesses will feel cautious for some time to come. This will directly affect you, so you need to pull out all the stops, if you are to be successful next year. Accept that, put in place a proper strategy and you will succeed, good luck!
